Is it possible to build an Outlook plug-in to integrate notes taken with a Livescribe pen?

Currently the Livescribe SDK (version 0.9) only allows users to build applications that function within the pen itself. For example, an application that interprets the English words you are writing and then outputs the Spanish translation in the form of audio.

However, the new Livescribe Desktop SDK, planned for release sometime in 2009, will allow you to extract text and audio data from the pen. This opens up a new world of possibilities for integrating with Outlook, Lotus Notes, and virtually any database or CRM.
